Our Beliefs
The Divine inspiration, absolute trustworthiness and sufficiency of the Bible, it being the unerring and complete revelation of God, and the supreme and final authority in matters of faith and conduct. Everything God wants us to know in this age is included in the Bible.
The unity and distinction of the Persons of the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit being co-equal and co-eternal.
The sovereignty of God in creation, redemption, revelation and judgment.
The essential deity and sinless humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ: His Incarnation and virgin birth; the all-sufficiency of His death as the atoning and vicarious sacrifice for the remission of sins; His bodily resurrection and ascension,; His present ministry of intercession as our great high priest and His future personal return and universal reign.
The personality and reality of Satan, the adversary of God and man, the tempter who suffered defeat by our Lord Jesus Christ in his life , death and resurrection, whose ultimate doom at the end of the age is foretold.
The fall of man, who by nature is a sinner at enmity towards God and who is totally incapable of saving himself.
The work of the Holy Spirit of God in conviction of sin, regeneration, spiritual enlightenment and sanctification, baptism in the Spirit into the one body of Christ as a once- for- all Divine act of grace and in the need for the continuous filling of the Holy Spirit for strength and growth towards maturity.
Justification before God by personal faith alone in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, the new birth being evidenced by true repentance and godly living.
Life after death, the resurrection of the body, the judgment of mankind by our Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed and the eternal banishment of the lost.
The “local” church as a called- out community of regenerated people, with liberty to order its own life according to the Scriptures, enjoying fellowship with all who love and obey our Lord Jesus Christ.
The priesthood of every born-again Christian, the enablement and empowerment of each believer as the Holy Spirit wills, so that each one can be exercised for the propagation of the gospel and the building up of the church.
The leadership and oversight of the local church by elders-pastors-bishops, men of godly character and experience as prescribed in the New Testament. Someone of this nature, maturity and experience can be called for full time ministry to the church depending on the availability of means and resources, for prescribed ministry.
The baptism of believers by immersion into water as ordained by the Lord, and practised by the apostles and taught in the New Testament.
The regular observance of the Lord’s Supper (communion) as a remembrance and proclamation of the Lord’s death and in anticipation of His coming again.
The need for regular private and corporate prayer.
The necessity incumbent upon every Christian to spread the gospel. For some this means at home, for others it will mean overseas at the call of God.
